Personal Information We Collect
Personal information is information about you that identifies you as an individual. The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with us and the products and services that you subscribe to. We collect personal information directly from you through our website and mobile applications as well as interactions with you over the phone with our customer service (collectively, the “Site”). The personal information that we collect includes:
- Information provided by you when you subscribe for products and services including, contact and identity information such as your name, postal and e-mail address, phone number, payment information (if you elect the autopayment option). Upon receiving your personal information, you will be signed a unique identifier that will enable us to track the history of services provided to you by us.
- Contact information for alarm monitoring to be used in the event that an alarm signal is received by our central dispatch. This information will include the name and phone number(s) of the contact persons that you provide to us. We also retain a password for security reasons.
- Information that you and/or persons that you authorize on your account provide us when contacting our customer service.
Children’s Privacy. The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and we request that such individuals not provide personal information through the Site. If you are under 18 years of age, you may browse our Site; however, you may not provide personal information to us such as name, address, or email address, and you may not register for, enroll in, and/or make product purchases.
How Do We Use Information We Collect?
We collect personal information only for providing the services you request, improving products and services, verifying membership and payments, sending you surveys, and notifying you of new products and any other changes to our site or services that may affect you.
When you enroll in Allstate Identity Protection Services or Michigan Property Protection, Inc. alarm monitoring services, we may share your name, email, postal address and phone number with MIProtechs, L.L.C. (an affiliated company), InfoArmor (a division of Allstate Insurance Company), RapidID, an XREF Company, and Rapid Response Monitoring Services, Inc. (collectively, “service providers”) to provide you with the products and services that you request.
Non-personal information (information that does not reveal your specific identity) may be aggregated, de-identified and may be used for any purpose unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
If at any time you do not wish to receive offers and emails from us, we ask that you remove your name from our mailing list by sending us an email addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org indicating in the subject line “No Offers or Email” or by calling (248) 987-6173.
We operate secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary, and only authorized individuals have access to the personal information provided by our users. We cannot, however, guarantee that unauthorized, inadvertent disclosure will never occur.
Transfer of Customer Information
Customer lists and information are properly considered assets of a business. Accordingly, if we merge with another entity or if we sell our assets to another entity, our customer lists and information, including personal information you have provided us, would be included among the assets that would be transferred.
Other Important Privacy Information
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. Once you have used these links to leave our Site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while visiting such websites and such websites are not governed by this Policy.
